Rudolph Herzog (*1973 in Munich) became known internationally with the three-part series THE HEIST which was broadcast prime time on Channel 4 (U.K.) in 2004. Since then, he directed many documentaries, including AMUNDSEN: LOST IN THE ARCTIC (National Geographic, ZDF), THE AGENT (ARD), LAST EXIT: SPACE (Discovery +), A SHORT HISTORY OF NUCLEAR FOLLY (Arte, Netflix), as well as the feature film HOW TO FAKE A WAR (Amazon Prime, Hulu, Sky Cinema). Rudolph Herzog is also known as a writer; his book DEAD FUNNY on humor in the Third Reich was named a “Book of the Year” by The Atlantic and was then turned into a film for German channel 1 and the BBC. His fiction debut, GHOSTS OF BERLIN won several awards, including a distinction as „Book of the Month“ in the Chicago Review of Books.
