Werner Herzog states the following:
Regrettably I must inform you that there will be no award of my Foundation this year. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic there has been no real possibility to make a choice. Festivals were cancelled or functioned virtually only, movie houses remained closed and films did not finish or abandoned production at all. There simply was no sound basis to make a selection.
It is much to my regret that for the first time after five years the award cannot be bestowed this year.
Nevertheless, we are going ahead with the planning for the “Weekend of the Foundation” October 15-17, 2021. I will show parts of my new and yet unfinished film as work-in-progress and are happy to discuss with the audience. I will also do a reading of parts of my new book “Das Dämmern der Welt” and show my film “Ballade vom kleinen Soldaten”. And on another evening I am going to read some parts of my not yet published book “Jeder für sich und Gott gegen alle” and show my film “Mein liebster Feind”.

screening of the film “Mein liebster Feind” by Werner Herzog, followed by a reading of excerpts from the still unpublished book by Werner Herzog “Jeder für sich und Gott gegen alle”
All events are held at the Filmmuseum München, St.-Jakobs-Platz 1 and begin at 7 pm
