In its session of March 2016 the city councel of the city of Munich has, upon application of the departement of culture, unanimously decided that the sitting head of the cultural department of the council will be appointed automatically as a member to the Board of Trustees of the Werner Herzog Foundation. This is a significant mark of confidence on the side of the city council in the Werner Herzog Foundation and Werner Herzog is extremely happy and deeply grateful. As of now there is a new member to the Borad of Trustees of the Foundation, Dr. Hans-Georg Küppers. Without his energetically support it would have not been possible to instal the sitting head of the cultural departement of the city of Munich qua office as a member of the Board of Trustees in the Foundation. We are extremly happy that Dr. Küppers accepted his nomination and look forward to a successful collaboration.
